Hi allMy own car Golf tdi 2013 59000 mls not climate control Heater started blowing cold air, coolant up to the mark, no codes,heat flap works fine, so decided to back flush matrix with hosepipe and hey presto we have heat. Anybody had any issues with these? Water was clean and as far as I could see nothing came out of the matrix. Retrofit climate control - posted in MkIV (Mk4) Golf & Bora: i have a 2003 1.4 golf and it has air con. Is it possible to retrofit the digital climate control into my car? If you can is it a big job to do? When I spec'd the climate windscreen (the standard fan-based demist function on the Golf is hopeless IMO) the VW salesman said he would find out how it worked before the car arrives (in April/May). He may well do, but I can now at least point him in the right direction. That one component could be a tiny fan attached to an even tinier sensor placed somewhere in the dash (or behind the front grab handles as in my Volvo 850) and if it sucks in enough schmutz then your expensive automatic climate control becomes an expensive manual climate control. So far it works perfectly in my Mk7.

Retrofit Climate Control Mk7 Golf Cart
I've had my JSW for about 1200 miles now and I want to change the 'manual' control over to real climate control. According to ETKA the head that is in there now is 5K0 907 044 EG for PR-9AK, and I'm looking to install 7N0 907 426 L for PR-KH6.
Does anyone know if the two are interchangable? (Of course there would be some coding involved)
The 7N0 part has the temperature display on it and 'should' be a set it and forget it type idea. so far it's about the only thing missing on the JSW besides a privacy glass option where we could get the rear doors, and rear of the car factory in privacy black.
